Preparation for Blood Test

WHY THE INSTITUTE NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT

In 2023, our Board of Directors voted to change the name of the organization from the McGuire Research Institute, Inc. to the Richmond Institute for Veterans Research.

With this name change, the organizational leadership intended to make a strong statement:

We are here to support Richmond’s Veteran Patient population and the community through dissemination of discoveries, research and education in medicine and technology.

We want to bring a new energy and fresh perspective to Veterans Care and the VA Hospital system as a whole. Now is the time to take this energy and momentum and grow this organization beyond a name change. Now is the time to build our annual fund and the all-important funding for the programs and objectives described above.  Now is the time to improve the lives of many Veterans in the country through research, innovation, and education.

Contributions to RIVR not only will help us grow the needed infrastructure to become a leading state-of-the-art research and innovation hub for the Veterans Administration, but most importantly support Veterans and the community today by improving their lives now and in the future. Thanks to private support, specifically your support, we can continue to build upon the stellar reputation of the Richmond VAMC as an incredible healthcare facility that shares the indomitable, undaunted spirit of our country’s military.

Your support makes all this and more possible. Please share our Vision.
